Abstract The Global South has witnessed increasing sampling of its immense biological diversity during the past century. However, many regions remains unknown, even at pristine and highly threatened places, such as in Atlantic Forest; for bioindicator, umbrella, flagship groups. present study reports first butterfly list Parque Estadual Intervales, São Paulo, Brazil surroundings, a key protected area last massive continuous Forest. We compiled data from museums four years field work, under three methods. also aimed providing resources to support conservation efforts by analyzing 27 climatic (detailed Supplementary Material, English Portuguese), discussing our results non-academics, producing scientific outreach educational material.
